Aquitania:
Aquitania is a fictional fantasy land where dreams become reality. In a place where boundaries are blurred and mysteries abound, you need to explore and uncover secrets buried from centuries ago. Solve myths and puzzles, find lost treasures, and ultimately, rescue a whole civilization in the mythical lands of Aquitania.
The graphics of this game will blow you away. 3D animation really adds to games' bells and whistles. There would be times when you'd think an object is real (no kidding!). The gameplay consists of eleven episodes divided into a number of stages each. The game is Tetris-like, only much more modern with its Web 2.0ish glossy look. You would need to align three or more like objects for them to be eliminated from the panel, hence freeing much needed space as new objects get dropped. The purpose of the game is to find all eleven missing treasures; various objects designed with dazzling precious stones.
The game grids come in different configurations, increasing in difficulty as you go along. At the top of the grid, birds lay at rest. You would need to solve puzzles quickly because if the objects reach the birds, our little feathered friends would have to say buh-bye for good. You lose the game when all the birdies die. To be able to pass a puzzle, you would have to break all the blue tiles at the bottom of the grids to release a part of a lost ancient treasure. You would then have to manipulate the game play so that the released precious stone would reach the bottom.
Help is provided to those who need it in the form of bombs, arrows, and the likes, which could eliminate chunks of the puzzle objects all at the same time. Aquitania challenges your wits and troubleshooting capabilities with its fast-paced play. It seems an irony that no one has the time to daydream in a world which seems like it jumped right out of one's dreams. But with Aquitania, you'll have no time to complain -- you'll be too busy enjoying the game to do so.
