No other hidden object game is as mystical and odd as Mystery Case Files: Madame Fate. This is the fourth installment of the Mystery Case Files series and it sure does give you a kick in the shin with its more then just a tad challenging games and its fantastic overall appeal.
It all starts when the carnival's soothsayer, Madame Fate, foresaw her own demise at the strike of midnight. Said Madame Fate then commissions the detective to find her would-be killer! The fact that the crime hasn't even happened yet gives the storyline an interesting twist far from the run of the mill hidden object games. There are 15 other people in the carnival other than Madame Fate and apparently, all of them have motives to kill her. To be able to find the would-be culprit and prevent Madame Fate's impending doom, you'd need to find clue associated with each character. And you'll be able to do so by -- yes, you got it -- finding hidden objects.
If you think finding hidden objects is easy enough, you've been playing games not at par with Madame Fate. The objects have been so cleverly hidden, if you had hours to complete the tasks, you'd be consuming all of them. However, you WON'T have hours unless you forego playing the "Detective" time-sensitive setting and go for the "Relaxed" mode instead.
With regards to visuals and audio, Madame Fate presents top-notch offerings. Not only are the graphics awe-inspiring but the subtle details provided by the sound effects gives Madame Fate its own reality that's simply and wonderfully unique.
